DIY Fall Pumpkins

9 / 26 / 18

Today’s post is about last year DIY pumpkins. This is a very easy DIY, it is inspired by the Mackenzie Childs fall decor.

After I received their Catalog, I decided I can easily have this look for less. All I needed was dollar store pumpkins, black acrylic paint, a brush, white spray paint, and gold leaf pen.

And voila

My Twist For Fall Decor

9 / 8 / 189 / 16 / 18

Fall didn’t officially start, but September did and I think that’s a good excuse to start fall decor in our home.

If you follow me for a while you know me by now, I like my decor to be always out of the box or at least I try hehhehe. The inspiration for this decor was my Missoni wallpaper. So my colors are mint green, blush pink, Lavender and of course touches of gold.

Ramadan Decoration

5 / 28 / 185 / 28 / 18

Ramadan is a  holy month in Islam. It is celebrated by over 1.5 billion people every year all over the world. People that celebrate Ramadan fast for 30 days from sunrise to sunset. No food, no water, nothing. The true idea behind it is to feel with others, be selfless, compassionate, and to slow down our busy life. It has much more meanings that I would like to teach my kids but it is difficult for them to understand it at their young age.  The easiest way was to start the Ramadan Tree tradition. I started it last year for the first time and I plan to make it an annual tradition.

Here in the States, we do not have a true Ramadan feel that other Muslim countries share. Ramadan lasts for 30 days and it is followed by 3 days of celebrations and fun known as Eid.  To celebrate Eid we will share toys and in our family, these toys will be placed under Ramadan tree. It is to make it feel like Christmas which we also celebrate at my home.

This year my Ramadan Tree color palette is black, gold and white.

How to Gold Leaf Cups

4 / 27 / 184 / 27 / 18

Hello everyone, I just realized that I didn’t write any post for the past month. Wow, time really flies. I’m tackling few projects at a time and of course, none of them is completely done, so if you follow me my Instagram, you’ll know what I’m talking about. I’m almost done with my closet and pantry and hopefully, the reveal should be soon.  So I thought to write about an easy DIY project that I did it 4 years ago: How to apply gold leaf on glass cups.

Black and White Stylish Bench

3 / 23 / 183 / 24 / 18

If I had to refinish and repurpose all the items that I own, I would have done time and time again. Unfortunately, with my busy life, this fun hobby is almost impossible. In the past couple of years, I managed to find some way to do some of the items that I love. The bench shown below is one of those items.

DIY: Baby Food Jar Recycle

1 / 31 / 182 / 6 / 18

This is a throwback to 2014. I painted and took pictures of these jars 4 years ago but I never had the chance to write the post.

After breastfeeding my first child for 9 months and a half (yes the half is more important than the 9 months lol), I was determined to only feed him homemade food. First few months I started cooking for him and he loved my food. All was good until my sister and her family came to visit. I got distracted by them and I didn’t have enough time to cook. Instead, I took the easy route of the ready baby food jars.  When they left back home, I resumed the cooking and I  used these jars when I’m out of the house ( or when I didn’t feel like cooking 😉 )

Their adorable and cute shape made me save them for future DIYs . Removing the Gerber label was an easy task, just soak the jars in hot water overnight or throw them in the dishwasher. Then I spray paint the lids and add a label sticker and voila… All done

My Amazing Baby Shower

4 / 2 / 141 / 12 / 18

He is 14 months old and I can’t believe it. I love my little boy and I want you to know how much I do 🙂 I have so much to share including but not limited to my baby shower, his nursery, his photo sessions and much more.

Let’s start with the baby shower. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better shower than the one I had. My sister in law did a fantastic job. Everything was pretty and perfect. Even though, the whole thing was jeopardized by the stupid condition that I had during pregnancy. One day before my shower, I was diagnosed with Cholestasis; a condition that forced me to deliver at 38 weeks to avoid a still baby or other complications.

Well, he came to the world on January 29th, 2013. Enough of the sad stories and enjoy the pictures of the most fabulous baby shower.

– Glaming Up a Boring Table Lamp

3 / 13 / 121 / 12 / 18

The last few weeks were hectic. I was preparing the Spring Summer Collection for my clients back home. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned before but I run an online fashion boutique for clients who are mainly in Lebanon, Africa, and Canada. In addition to my full-time job, DIYing is a hobby and not my business 🙂

Having said that this justifies why I haven’t tackle any major furniture renovation. To stay in the loop I would like to share some of my old and simple projects.

Here is how to Glam up a boring Lamp: Simply by adding some bling bling. I bought a basic black table lamp from Homegoods, I wanted one with hanging crystals, but at that time I couldn’t find any black lamp with black crystal. I bought black crystals from eBay and attached them to my boring lamp 🙂 and here are the after pictures

I like the inside of this lamp so much
I just sew these crystals and you can see the threads here 🙂
Hope you like my simple and easy Table Lamp
