I think you all know by now that I love metallic finishes. So when I wanted to restore this antique style end table I chose to gild it.
In a previous post, I showed the details of how to silver leaf a dresser. It is a little bit time-consuming but the end result is well worth it. This time I used gold leaf papers, I chose pale tone gold, I don’t like the very brassy gold color. As for pulls, I was so excited when I found these black white and gold pulls. They matched perfectly my courtly check Mackenzie Childs pieces.
Here are the pictures:
Let me tell you a secret, my baby started walking a few months ago so this end table is always empty. I decorated this vignette while he was asleep so I can take quick pictures for the blog 🙂
If you’re following me on my Instagram then you will know that I was looking for some keys a few days ago, well I was looking for the key of this end table. The search is still on.
I wish you can smell this clover Michael Aram candle, it has a very relaxing scent.
I got this antique mirror from Hobby Lobby and it was on clearance 😉
My older son was super excited when he painted this drawer with me, I remember that I was still pregnant at that time. So whenever I open this drawer it reminds me of this sweet memory.
And here is the whole vignette look, I hope you like it.
Bye bye, for now, I have to blow this candle and remove all the accessories from the table, the little one is going to wake up any minute now 😀
