CandyLand Christmas in our home

Hello Blog-Land, it’s been almost 2 years. I miss it, I really miss writing to all of you my dearest followers. but life gets really busy when you have 2 kids. But I promised my self, this time I will not stop writing even if I do it once weekly.

Lets have a small recap, now I have 2 boys, one is almost 5 years and the other just turned 1, we moved to a new home so a lot of new decoration projects are on the way, and now I’m a full-time mommy ( I stopped the online shop few months after I had my first son ).

Let me share with you my Christmas decor for this year. I wanted something unique, fun and can be girly to satisfy my love of pink color but yet boyish since the boys are dominant in this house ( 3 boys including the hubby). So as soon as I saw these lollipops ornaments at Hobby Lobby I envisioned the look on my son’s face when he sees Candy-Land Christmas in the house.

Chairish rug challenge

When Chairish challenged me to create a room full of color, I couldn’t be happier. I  live and breath colors.

To start with Chairish  is “an exclusive, curator approved, online marketplace for vintage and used furniture.” One can easily spend hours surfing this amazing site looking for vintage furniture, decor, jewelry and accessories.

So here is my board

 

I chose this “Turquoise Overdyed Turkish Patchwork rug” because I love all of its different tones. The combination of blue and green make it rich and forgiving especially when you have a 2 year old boy that loves to play “Jump Jump” on the couch. The metal gold base Hollywood Regency Ottoman adds joy to the board. Its bright and fun fabric needed to be toned down by the neutral mid century sofa. In addition, the green tone in the Queen Anne Style Armchairs perfects the room as it matches the rug.
Finally, some accent pieces like this Vintage Gold Bamboo Bar Cart and this Gold Bamboo Chinoiserie Mirror give a sense of completion to the area. The Asian motif Lamp with its green and pink shades tie the room together. And how can a room be complete without some Turkish Turquoise Pillows and some Turkish Pink Pillows.

 

 

 

– Nursery


My baby is now 2 years old and I think it is about time to share with you his nursery lol 😀

 It wasn’t easy to find THE CRIB, since all the cribs I liked were so out of my budget, and the ones I can afford were so basic, so after a long long search, I found THE ONE on Amazon. It was white, sturdy and curvy. Yes you heard me curvy, I don’t know why but I didn’t like the straight lines cribs lol

– Upgarding a bookcase

I got this bookcase from IKEA long time ago ( when I used to like IKEA style) so after a while, I started getting bored with it.

 
 
So after seeing a lot of bookcase with wallpaper added to the back on BlogLand , I decided to do the same, so I bought these vinyl paper from Homegoods and it was a very easy task with the help of my husband. Just remove the back of the bookcase and stick the vinyl and VOILA. Best decision ever

My Amazing Baby Shower

He is 14 months old and I can’t believe it. I love my little boy and I want you to know how much I do 🙂 I have so much to share including but not limited to my baby shower, his nursery, his photo sessions and much more.

Let’s start with the baby shower. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better shower than the one I had. My sister in law did a fantastic job. Everything was pretty and perfect. Even though, the whole thing was jeopardized by the stupid condition that I had during pregnancy. One day before my shower, I was diagnosed with Cholestasis; a condition that forced me to deliver at 38 weeks to avoid a still baby or other complications.

Well, he came to the world on January 29th, 2013. Enough of the sad stories and enjoy the pictures of the most fabulous baby shower.

My Living room

Hello… Do you remember me??? Well, finally I’m back after a long hibernation. It is been almost a year. Twelve months have passed and it just hit me.

 

My son is now 30 weeks, and tonight I decided that I should get back to blogging. It is not easy being a mom and I don’t know how the moms out there can handle it. I have just one baby ( God bless him) but I’m so exhausted 🙂

 
Now let’s get to business. These are edited pictures of my living room. These pictures were taken in November of 2012.  It was a very gloomy day like really really gloomy 🙂 so the pictures were not the best because it took a lot of editing to get this result.

I’m back to blogland , did you miss me?

Well after a long break, like really long this time almost 5 months, I’m back to blogland with a little surprise

Yup, we are pregnant and it wasn’t that easy for the past 5 months 🙂 It is my first pregnancy so I didn’t know that morning sickness is the worst, they should call it “all day sickness” :). But thanks God I’m feeling so much better now so that is why I’m back to blogging …For the past 5 months, I didn’t check my blog, I didn’t even read any of my favorite design blogs, the only thing I googled was: how to get rid of heartburn, severe pain in my chest, how to stop morning sickness 😀

So stay tuned I have a lot of posts coming soon and I’m hoping you will like them.I really miss you and miss your comment guys 🙂

– Model Homes Tour Nb 2

I know I’m so late to write this post, the first home tour was written almost 2 months now 🙂 But I’ve been busy lately and today I’m so sick but I missed blogland a lot and you specially and I couldn’t wait anymore to write this post.So forgive me if my post’s quality is not up to par.

– Not your usual Stuffed Strawberries- And A Winner

 

Hi all, before I announce the winner of the Cutting Edge Stencil Giveaway I want to share with you my version of Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries.

My husband and I were invited to a dinner party last night. The host asked me to bring some kind of dessert. However, I was super busy so  I had to pull a rabbit from the hat, but instead, I pulled some ricotta cheese, honey, and a lot of strawberries from the fridge. This easy and simple recipe made me look like the greatest chef in the world (well I’d like to think so.) So here is the secret:
You will need only  4 Ingredients: Strawberries, of course, Ricotta Cheese, Grounded Pistachios, and Honey.
  • Get as many strawberries as you want and core them with a thin apple peeler or any other similar kitchen tool. I used a tool that I usually use to core zucchinis.
  • Use your judgments to fill the cored strawberries with enough amount of Ricotta Cheese.
  • Dip them in grounded pistachios.
  • I used honey as my sweetener but any other syrup would taste as good as well.
You are done. Yes, you are done. Look at these delicious photos if you don’t believe me.

– Master Bedroom Reveal

Finally, our master bedroom is finished, I cant say finished but at least I can share some pictures with you. I took these picture about a month now but I didn’t have any free time to edit them.

In this room, you will see some familiar furniture pieces if you are already a follower but now you will see them where they belong 🙂

 
As you can see the color palette is Black, White, Silver, and Purple. I changed this rug to a purple one but I didn’t take any new pictures, I will soon update these.
 

 
 

You can see how I transformed an old settee into this glamorous purple settee here. And this small silver pillow was made by moi 😉

This is also from IKEA, like 3 years ago IKEA was my favorite furniture store,  I used to love the modern clean lines decor but now I like to mix and match, clean lines with some curvy ones :)))

If you noticed I’m taking pictures for just the right side of the room….I will confess I still didn’t paint the other walls 😀 they are an ugly beige color…I purchased the paint color Silver Grey since August yes yes I’m that Lazy …well not just lazy I was thinking should I stencil this steel dark grey wall ( the accent wall) or I shouldn’t since we are renting…and also after I saw how my silver leaf dresser looked great next to a Turquoise wall I started to not liking this much my accent wall color :)))

So I need your help Should I stay with this color palette or Should I spice it up a notch ??? I’m still in the thinking process since August till now lol
